WHY SYNTHETIC GRASS?
Safety: Unlike real grass, synthetic grass does not wear, erode or become damaged by intensive usage. The same, even, consistent surface will reduce sports injuries.
Community use: The material’s durability makes additional community use of Muirlands Field possible.
Environmentally responsible: Synthetic grass does not require water or fertilizer (this project will save around 2 million gallons of water each year!). Maintenance costs are minimal compared to grass fields.
FieldTurf is the synthetic grass material used on the La Jolla High School football field and is approved by the San Diego School District.
